Many of you will I’m sure have now heard about the incredibly sad passing last night of the amazing Deborah James, following a 5 and half year battle with bowel cancer.
She not only raised a huge amount of money to help support the Marsden as well as the Bowel Cancer Charities, but also helped show those who are going through Bowel Cancer what life is all about – this is something that I will always remember about her and I think demonstrated to everyone (not only those going through Cancer personally but the public at large) how important it is to take advantage of the time we all have together in this world. Her continual message of highlighting the symptoms of bowel cancer I am sure has saved lives and I’m sure will continue to do so.
I know I have posted previously describing the support and advice she gave me back in 2019 when getting a second opinion for my cancer spread to the lung – without which I genuinely don’t think I would be around today.
Deborah has undoubtably left an indelible mark on the world and in my mind will be forever remembered as someone who gave ‘the big C’ a damn good kicking for a very long time (far longer than she was expected to). Always having a positive mind set and a smile on her face she inspiring so many to grab life by the balls and live it!
RIP Deborah and thank you. Tom xx
Thought of you when I heard the sad news last night lovely. Sending you a big hug. Xxx
