Thank-you Eric. I am glad you enjoyed reading. Yes this photo was taken at the Florence marathon which I did back in November 2013 (only a few days before finding out about my cancer diagnosis).
Superb site Tom. Really inspirational and keep on posting / blogging. Next time we play golf I am expecting you to run around the course! You name the date, I’ll be there (trying to keep up!). Richard
Just looked at the website for an update and also followed link to the magazine article. So proud of you Tom! All seems to be building up to a good recovery and your “can and will do” attitude is wonderful. Love to you and to all the family. xx
I was at the same Marathon in Florence last year, we were basically running “together”. When I run I like to think that every other runner in the race has a specific reason for running a marathon, stories that unfortunately we will never hear. I find this blog an excellent way to show people that running (but I would say sport in general) helps to go through tough moments of our lives. I wish you all the best for the future, and I deeply wish you to be able to wear your running shoes as soon as possible.
Tom I think you are planning to run in the Berlin Marathon this weekend. If so, we wish you the best of luck and look forward to catching up a week later.
Tom….you are so amazing! You should be so proud of your accomplishment in Berlin. What a great time you put in….couldn’t do that time on my best day. Keep up your wonderful website. It is an inspiration to all…runners and non-runners. M&J
What an inspiration!
